Turning Life’s Challenges Into Growth
I prepared for my clinical career by attending UCLA and Santa Clara University, where I earned degrees in Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy. With more than 30 years of clinical experience, I have worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds facing a wide range of life challenges. My professional experience spans hospitals, private practice, community clinics, and other clinical settings. The stories and resilience of my clients have deeply inspired my creative work as a novelist, enriching both my academic understanding and therapeutic approach. This unique combination of clinical insight and creative perspective has allowed me to develop innovative solutions and a deeper understanding of the human experience.
A Compassionate Path to Healing
Pain as Part of Healing
I believe pain is unavoidable, but it is also essential for growth and healing.
Mistakes as Teachers
The experiences we often label as “mistakes” can become powerful teachers when we are open to learning from them.
Narrative, Client-Centered Approach
I use a client-centered, narrative approach to help individuals explore and understand their stories.
Finding Meaning in Struggles
I assist clients in uncovering meaning within their struggles, which is a critical step in alleviating pain.
Clarity & Confidence Forward
This process helps individuals move forward with clarity and confidence in their relationships, work, and personal goals.
